Cremello Akhal Teke WIP

A work in progress.

I haven't been active online at all. Actually, I haven't really been very active since my mom died seven months ago. It's her birthday today, you know, but all I ever did was think of her and I'd never give her a call or anything. Birthdays are not my thing.

Anyhow, I've been mostly too uninspired and too ill to do anything which has caused my commissions to remain unfinished even those dating back to a year ago.

But I'm simply too uninspired and my joints hurt too much to get to anything. This is something I felt like doing when seeing a photograph of a cremello Akhal Teke at akhalteke.ru though I used more photo's of cremello ATs to get a feel for their skintone. The composition's pretty standard but different from the photo that inspired me to do this. I guess this is my first try at digital painting without direct photographic reference. I'm not sure when I'll come around to finishing this. I'm going out to dinner with some friends tonight and I have lots of work left to do regarding my thesis.

Graduation can get so compelling, I tell you.

I'm sorry I haven't gotten round to commenting or replying to messages. It's not likely I'll have much time until February. =O

Ah well, comments and critique is welcome. I guess his but's a bit too round for a teke so I'm gonna have to fix it when I get round to painting that behind. I'm pooped. I'm gonna take a quick shower and then I'll have to get ready.
